Harvest a yellow goo pile
- Equip the Pickaxe.
- Approach the yellow mound of goo on the ground.
- Strike the pile until it breaks, then collect the drops.
- Check your inventory for Clay.
A stationary goo pile is a resource obstacle. A moving slime enemy is a different target, so do not use the enemy as your guide to Clay deposits.
Save Clay for a Smelter
The camp Smelter recipe takes 5 Clay + 5 Scrap Metal. Keep enough Clay for this station if your next goal is making more Iron Rods.
