Identify the goo pile
Look for a yellow mound sitting on the ground. This resource obstacle is different from a slime that moves toward you and attacks.
Break and collect
Equip a Pickaxe, strike the goo pile until it breaks and collect the drops. Check your inventory for Clay afterward.
